Decide on your Topic & Key Teaching Points

Is there a topic you get asked the most about? Is there a TIMELY and relevant topic that your audience needs right now?

Your paid workshop can even be a small part of your course or digital offering, what we call ‘preview content’. 

Choose a topic where attendees can feel like they’re able to achieve ‘small wins’ and walk away with one bite-sized result or accomplishment. 

Keep your training very dialled in to your audience. Most paid participants will come from your existing email list and be aware of your messaging and who you already serve. 

The ultimate difference between the content you offer inside a normal free webinar and a paid webinar is the level of depth inside the training. You’ll be diving deeper and including more detailed training and knowledge. You’ll go deep on one small topic.

Choose a Date and Time

Think about your target audience and a time that would best suit them. For example, is your topic career or profession related? Or more hobby-style?

There’s no right or wrong or ‘one size fits all’ date or time. 

Make sure your workshop live date is at least 7 days out, to give you ample time to promote and sell beforehand.

Note: You will record your paid workshop and anyone unable to attend live will get the replay, so they can still purchase. In order for them to get tons of value, you can even give them the opportunity to pre-submit questions if they can’t come to the live Q & A.

Select a Price Point 

Paid workshops are usually priced between $47 and $199 for up to 2-4 hours of training. 

Note: You can also offer your paid workshop as a multi-day “Series”, “Immersion”, “Bootcamp” or “Intensive”, spreading the live trainings across two or three days to your audience to be able to charge a higher price point.
