I believe that I found you on Instagram. So then I dove deeper, and I joined your mailing list email list. And then you started potty bootcamp. And I have been really trying to pi train Alex for a really long time. And he's five and I believe it was a lot of mindset work. And that's what you really dove deep into in your program. And it was really helpful. And also having a support from my roommate to push me to keep going because it was very hard. Three day intensive.

You know, in the moment you're in it, you're like, oh my god, this is like three days feels like 30 years.

Yes. I was having a very, very hard time. But it was very worth it. After the three days.

five. Got it. And what had you tried in the past? Have you ever tried to potty train him before?

I tried to but he didn't seem like he was ready. And then like at this time, he was ready. The first day he just didn't want to he peed in every single underwear. Um, but then the next day he didn't really well. Yeah,

got it. So. So I just want to ask a little bit about like, what it was about the program that you think clicked for you that this sign was like, Okay, I'm doing this on potty training for the last time.

I'm the mindset of like, keep going and keep pushing through because it literally worked. I don't know how but

alright, let's talk about reinforcers because I think a lot of parents don't understand the value of these and how did you implement that with Alex in getting him potty trained.

So he really loves Disney so and he has lots of different special interests. So I use those things. First, I started out with First we really were training intensively on peeping on the potty and I started out with Krabby Patties from Spongebob because you really enjoyed SpongeBob at that time, and now it's lollipops and but it for that it's changed every once in a while in but pretty consistent on that or word. But for going poop on the potty he gets like toys because that was the only thing that was high enough valued.

There you go perfect. So it's very interesting. What you bring up and I think this is important for all parents is that we're evaluating the reinforcements all the time. So we may have been great to start with spot It's Bob and then after a couple of days, you may have lost value and then it's like, all right, I had this program and pees on lock but poop man, he really is like kind of nervous about going poo. I have to up the ante here. And it is like I remember mom, I had a mom, she was buying, like these little cars, like it's getting expensive. I said, you know, it's expensive, like, you know, diapers to like 20. Yes. So this is just a moment in time just like those three days even though it's an intensive and it feels like we're prison three days is like 30 years. It's just a moment in time. Do you look back on it now, knowing that pi training was on the other end of it? Was it worth it?

Oh, yes, for sure. It, it really is worth it. I I just see, like so much greater change out of him. And it's exciting to see him grow. Oh,

like, and this is so amazing, or a great for everybody. Like we always work on daytime because this came up today and I thought it was a good coincidence here is that we always work on the daytime part first. And that runs its own program. Now what they did was that they went from they did the potty training first, then they had a change programs for poop. So she got she excuse me, they got people peep on lock first, then they got poop. And now she's going to you're going to work on another program for for overnight sleeping. So basically what you want to do there just a quick tip for you is you want to look at what the fluid intake is before bed and look at that and then say, okay, you know, Can I can I back that up a little bit. So if like bedtimes eight o'clock, Can I maybe make last drink at 630. And also make sure that you're having having him go to the potty right before bed. Okay, and then in the morning, if the diaper is wet, we want to feel it and see if it's warm. Because if it's warm, that means he might have just gone. And maybe if we wake him up a little bit earlier, we'll catch it. Yes,

had another I had another mom who said to me that she said that he would get up in the middle of the night and have an accident. But if she was there, he wouldn't do it. So for a while for like a couple of days, she slept in the room. And then it was like, Alright, my out to do this is no longer available, that if I get up, she's gonna make me go to the potty. So again, like this is a small blip in time. If the end result is potty training, we just kind of like do our thing. Get them to the finish line. And then you'll look back on those three days like you do now. You said Gosh, delivering it was tough. But now, knowing that this is the outcome, it's so much better, right?
Yeah, yeah. Awesome. So I guess my question is potty power, would you recommend working with me or any other parent who's struggling to Python or autistic children?

Oh, yes, for sure. It definitely pushed me to change my mind. And I I was scared, I was going to be one of those parents that their child was not going to be potty trained. Until they were like 20 or so. So yes, it's very exciting to have him potty trained in that was our goal for school. So I'm excited to see him at school in going potty on his own. Amazing.

Yes, so excited. And I want you to know, too. It opens the door in your mind just because you're like I'm curious to I want to ask this as well in in that, you know, what else can he do? If he can get this done in three days? What else can he do? Yes.

The capabilities of him is just like endless and he's been like, he really learned he's a default method learner for speech and in that has really opened up a speech and he I just gave him swimming lessons and he can swim on his own like, we did like intensive three day. Can you save himself and he
