Potty Prep – Build the Sit muscles

So If we have been on this potty training journey for a while do we still start with step on of 3-5 minute sit time goal. How many times of doing 3-5 times is considered proficient? At what point do we know we can fade this step away?

Answer:

the goal is when you do your potty intensive they happily sit anytime you ask them for at least 3 mins. If you don't feel like you have that.. start at a time that is an easy win and build up to it. You can do is 3-5x a day for a "sit" reward but anytime they ask for anything, you can also use that as a sit reward....want a cookie, first sit, want to go outside, first sit. If you do this you'll get them up to 3 mins in no time. Let me know if you have any other questions!
