Potty training

Hello 👋 I’m new here just staring to get familiar with everything.
I’m listening classes and getting ready to start potty training again this weekend.
My daughter is 3 years and 9 months old. She is verbal uses 2-3 works to explain what she wants. We tried potty training 7 month ago and pee part nothing happened because how I understand NOW because I would use diapers when we will go out of house. She did good with poop part but just for 3 weeks and since then she is holding her poop even longer then before. Like 2-3 days. She used to scream every time she would go poop and flash toilet immediately. Now she is not going on toilet at all. And moment we catch her start doing it in her diaper and we put her right away on a potty. She holds it and not going at all after that. And most of the time when she goes poo it’s on a playground. On top of the slide where basically we cannot reach her. At her preschool also at Playground. Thank God, she doesn’t poo it in In a swimming pool when we take her for her classes like Michelle’s daughter. But it’s still so frustrating and truly I don’t know how to approach that. I tried to offer her ice cream. That’s her favorite thing. I tried to offer her. iPad. But she would just say it like there if I will let her know at least 1520 minutes trying to read the books because damn she would not stay on the toilet that long. My question is, what do you think I should change in my behavior? I guess that I can help her to go poo and not hold. And I guess second question is for this weekend I want to do that three days to start specially the Pee – Should I just concentrate on a P and then work on her poops. I just don’t know how to react in case in those three days and she decided to go poo just standing like in the middle of the room. Because it happened one time I was in between changing the diapers and the one I was throwing on my diaper she was running naked and riding that moment to decide to stand in the middle room and her poop right on the carpet.
I think I wrote too much information ha ha. I hope I didn’t confuse you and there was able to explain my thoughts. Thanks again looking forward for your advice. Have a great day or night.

Thank you for your question! First thing I am going to recommend here since you are seeing your daughter not have a BM in 2-3 days is if possible to increase her fiber OR give her some sort of child friendly laxative to increase the probability that she will have a BM. I would talk to our nutritionist/dietician, Greer, about this! At her age, she should be having a BM every day and even though she may be holding the BM because she does not want to go on the potty, if she is getting more fiber or a laxative she will be more likely to go and that is an increase opportunity for her to go on the potty! IF she is constipated and it hurts to poop then that will increase her resistance to sit on the potty!

Once you start your potty training I want you to work on making the bathroom SUPER FUN. She sounds very resistant right now to sit. The bathroom should be a PARTY. Sing songs, blow bubbles, read books, bring in toys! Once the bathroom is fun and she is more interested in sitting, she will sit for longer periods of time and is more likely to produce on the toilet. Also, for now since she is resistant to just sit on the toilet I would provide the reinforcer just for sitting. For example, she can get a small bowl of ice cream while she is sitting on the toilet (even if she does not pee/poop). IF she pees/poops she can get MORE ice cream or something different. Start with these recommendations and keep us updated! Good luck!
