Dear Michelle,
I hope this message finds you well. Before I send the detailed update I promised, I have a quick question. I’ve been listening to the Champions For Our Children Master Class and encountered Greer’s sessions, which I found both thrilling and surprising as I did not expect content outside of behavior-focused topics. Since she addresses the medical side of autism—a subject close to my heart after a year of reading on it—I am curious about your perspective on her methods and whether you have tried any of the tests she described. Specifically, I am interested in the names of these “lab tests” she mentioned. I have always believed my daughter’s autism might be linked to circumstances during delivery and am wondering if Greer attributes these causes to metabolic or environmental factors.
Thanks!

Apologies for the delay in responding. Greer is a great resource I've found for children with major digestive issues that are making potty training challenging. This could be painful constipation and/or loose stool/diarrhea.
I've tried a lot of things including a biomedical approach with my own daughter and nothing came close to moving the needle for us then me learning behavioral therapy and making it apart of my parenting.
I think if you want to explore it there is no harm but I would keep expectations in check. I look at it, tried it, saw for us it didn't make enough of a difference to continue and kept trucking. Nothing is the end all be all, everything is a process of elimination and I keep moving and trying new things. Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions.
