Potty training

Hello,
Did I understand right, that after I start potty training let’s say intense one for 3 days. My daughter will be able to go to potty but with me constantly keeping her on schedule? Same schedule needs to be used at preschool? But I will get her out of diapers and it will be main result… But what to do after I didn’t get it from videos? I bought waterproof underwear to put on top of regular ones. If I will miss window or she will drink more water then usually and decide to go pee earlier then usual schedule ? We will have accident because she won’t probably tell me that she needs to go to potty. I understood how to organize that Disney land party for 3 days but it’s not so clear how to maintain it after that step ? Is it any video that explains it step by step ?

Answer:

Hi, If you haven't watched Potty Power dive into that and/or the potty guide. This will have the A to Z of the process.

First thing we need to confirm is she'll happily sit without crying, being hovered over, whinning, etc for 3 -5 mins enough for a pee or poop to pass. If that is happening then you're ready for the intensive.

Sometimes we have kids who get potty training done or close to done after the intensive, but the #1 agenda is for you to get reps in, data collection, and really understand her tells. I like intensives because we cover a lot of ground fast.

When you're ready to do the intensive, come to either Mine (michelle call) or BCBA call and lock in your blueprint, get any questions answered and you should be ready to go.

Then after the 3 days, share your data and we can figure out where to go next. Let me know if that makes sense.
