I have a mindset question and am looking for advice. I am wondering how to carve time out of your day or life to make time for yourself. I was reconnecting with an old friend, and was asked what am I passionate about. And in my head I said surviving my day to day, and then I got sad at how pathetic that sounded. lol But it is true, I focus too much on the mom side of life, I lost myself and I don’t know how to come back.
It’s not an urgent question, I just know the minset calls are usually busy.
Answer:
Congratulations on becoming so much more aware of yourself and your needs. That is a great beginning.
It is helpful to think of your emotions as your helpers. They give you valuable feedback on what is happening in your life. When you became sad after your friend's question, it was a useful reminder from your own soul that you want to take better care of yourself. That is a great first step in how you find yourself again, by paying more attention to your own emotions.

And you want to pay attention to your feelings without judging them. You just notice them and ask, what is this feeling trying to tell me about myself?
Here is something you can do. Make a list of 100 things you love to do. Yes, I know it is a lot, but that is the whole point. You want to stretch your brain and see with what it comes up. Take your time with this assignment. Make your list over a couple of days.
If you need inspiration about what excites you, listen to the song, “These are a few of my favorite things” from The Sound of Music. 😉
