Lately my 22-year-old daughter has been having some skin issues, red bumps around her thigh and in the area where the underwear elastic would go close to the thigh. I have always bought cotton underwear (the brief style).for her and never had she had this issue before. I have changed the detergent, handwashed her underwear with aloe soap bar, etc. The doctor has prescribed her with different antibiotics and they have not been 100% effective. A couple of days ago I looked into seamless cotton underwear for her and we started trying them to see if it helps. Have ypu had any other child or young girl that has experienced anything similar? I kindly ask for you advice.
Answer:
So as it gets warmer this is something that can happen. If she hasn't been seen by a dermatologist, that might be my next course of action. The seamless underwear sounds like a nice idea but you might want to consider if its a sweat moisture thing to add powder down there. If it feels more like a friction situation you could try a body glide cream or I've even used zinc oxide ointment when this happens to julianna from wearing wet bathing suits. Let me know if this is helpful and if you have any other questions.

Thank you so much for responding. We used to see a dermatologist a long time ago for some acne in her face and back (it was not severe) and she recommended several pricey products which I did get and use with her for a while, but I stopped taking her because the doctor would not even examine her. I did make an appointment with a different dermatologist, but it will not be until the 22nd of this month. I usually try my best to see if I can help her, as long as it is something safe to try, because sadly, at times you expect the doctor or specialist to give you the answer to your medical issue and that is not always the case. But when one has to go, I do take her. We have used Desitin and its generic brand for years. I see the Zinc oxide cream is similar. I will try that as well because she has used the other 2 for some long, it might help to try another one. I do use a lot of powder down there, but it does go away throughout the day. It is all gone by the time she comes home from school. I did not know about the body glide cream, thank you for sharing that. I will have to wait until her skin is totally healed to try that out. Thank you once again!
