What does the initial start of potty training look like? How to get your child to communicate that they have to go to the bathroom. My son is starting to hand me a pull-up and gets agitated when his pull-up is too wet. I know it’s time to start, but how do you start? How do you transition from home to school when you just start after one day or two day etc. How do you go to the store or to church when no one knows your son’s needs?
I need like here’s what to start on week one here’s what week two looks like here’s what week three looks like. No clue what I am doing. 😐

Hi there!
Him bringing you a pull-up and letting you know he’s uncomfortable is communication! We can build on that. You can't run before you crawl. First we get them to understand pee and poop go here then we teach them to tell us when to go.
Here’s where I’d start:
If you haven't watched my latest Potty Training Webinar, email info@michellebrogers.com and she'll send it to you.
2nd Come to my call or the BCBA call we will be able to dialog with you and show you were to stard.
3rd - Can your child sit happily for 3-5 mins any time you ask ? Have they eliminated on a toilet already? If they can't sit than that's where I'd start. I'd get a digital timer and command strip stick it to the bathroom wall, then I would start by having him sit a time I know is an easy win. Then every time he sits you add 5s to the clock and they gets a reward as soon as that timer goes off. We call this a sit reward. Very different then an elimination reward which has to be something off the charts.
Let me know if this starts you in the right direction!
